We are looking for a Fettler to grind surfaces of as cast product to meet visual acceptance criteria defined by customer
Principle Accountabilities:
- Identifying product for fettling in accordance with production plans.
- Grinding of castings to form of supply (FOS).
- Arc-Air cast ribs and remove scale.
- Shot blast / grit blast as cast and machined surfaces.
- Loading castings using overhead pendant crane.
- Completing paperwork in accordance with quality procedures.
- General Housekeeping.
- Working safely throughout all activities in line with FVC’s safety standards and procedures.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience working as a fettler in a heavy casting industry.
- Basic understanding of health and safety.
- Basic understanding of environmental considerations.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills.
Desirable:
- FLT License
- Manual handling qualification
- Experience of modern manufacturing techniques
