Due to growth within out Sheffield sites we are seeking an IT professional to provide primary 1st line technical & IT support, assistance and advice to end users in various locations and to be involved on the Development of Office Automation topics.
To provide on-site support & advice for users primarily at the Sheffield and Burton sites (FVC, FVD & Hi-Tech). Troubleshooting & resolving software and Hardware problems and being the IT SME on site. To assist with the development & implementation of MS Office 365 Automation tools and other Software implementations as agreed with the Business units & in line with the overall Business IT plan. Working as a key part of a growing IT team, there is further scope for development and involvement in all aspects of core infrastructure systems and other development projects.
- Provide on-site support/administration for users, user systems & applications within Paralloy, predominantly Windows 10/11, Active Directory, LAN, WI-FI, & hosted O365 solutions.
- To provide IT Support, where possible, to shop-floor control/monitoring devices such as SFDC PCs, PC control units for CNC/CMM devices.
- Monitor and deploy user accounts, e-mail accounts, general user admin, file and folder administration.
- To coordinate with, and be part of the wider IT teams in delivering world class business support.
- Installation and configuration of desktop hardware and software to agreed security standards.
- De-commissioning of redundant equipment.
- To support the implementation and further development of the business systems used within Paralloy
- To develop, and help users develop, business processes automation and reporting using approved Development tools.
- To document development and assist in the preparation of other IT system related documentation.
- To work along-side Business System support to assist & maintain smooth functioning of user systems & software.
You will need to be able to display previous work experience in a hands-on, user-facing support environment (Minimum 3 years).

- Will need to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
- Will need to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory & Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiar with Office Automation & Low code Development products such as Forms, Flow,Power BI & others.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products to a good standard.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
- Good organisational & oral and written communication skills with an attention to detail.
- Can work under pressure to deliver an excellent level of service with a high degree of professionalism and self accountability.
