Due to continued growth of the company we are currently looking for a IS Manager to support the IT Department, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company's information systems and technology infrastructure, ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our IT systems. To take a core role in the continued development and improvement of the business systems supporting the organization's growth and operational objectives. This is a hands on and very varied role managing a small but growing IT Support Team aimed at delivering world class Business IT support.
You will also be required to;
- Contribute to align the development of the Information &
business systems & technology adopted to meet the long term strategic goals
of the business and understand the requirements to meet the near term business
goals. Be aware of emerging technologies, such as AI, ML and IoT, and how they
may impact the organization.
- Preparation,
Submission & control of Budget costs for all IT Related expenditure across
all Paralloy business units
- Infrastructure
management - responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization's IT
infrastructure. This includes: Local and Wide area network management, server
and storage management, backup and recovery and cloud infrastructure management.
- Data
Security and Compliance – Implementing and enforcing security measures to
protect the organization's IT infrastructure from threats such as cyberattacks,
unauthorized access, and data breaches
& ensuring the security posture is of the highest caliber within the
constraints of budget and operational capabilities. Maintaining compliance to
appropriate internal and external standards including but not exclusively:
Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST 800 and others as required by the business and our
customers.
- Vendor
Management. Control the relationship with key IT system vendors and develop new
supply chains where appropriate. To monitor any critical vendors to ensure
continuity of service provision.
- Project
Management – lead and participate in managing various projects to deliver
updated and new solutions in critical and non critical business systems.
- Team
Leadership - Responsible for leading and developing a team of IT professionals.
Effective leadership is essential to ensure the team's success and the smooth
operation of the IT function.
- User Support and training – leading but also
being an integral part of the IT team, whilst user support is not necessarily a
core role of the IT Manager, where skill or time demands are stretched then
carrying out users support tasks and end user training will be necessary.
Ideally you have a wide understanding of IT Infrastructure with a good working knowledge of systems and applications.
- Good leadership and communication skill across business functions.
- Decision making and good business acumen.
- A good understanding the impact of potential risks to IT and the impact on the business
- Efficient Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Bring a mature and professional approach to the role
- Experience working within a heavy manufacturing environment would be advantageous
